ChipsAway Franchisee Paul Fabian

Now into his twelfth year with leading automotive paintwork repair specialist ChipsAway, franchisee Paul Fabian has built an impressive management franchise business, which includes two ChipsAway CarCare Centres on adjacent territories, a team of six employees, and an active 13,000 strong customer base.
A former engineer with the RAF, when Mr Fabian left the Forces he decided he wanted to work for himself and started looking for a practical, hands-on business opportunity that had offered him the potential to achieve good earnings and retire early.
After researching the franchise market he discovered ChipsAway, which he joined, initially running a mobile van-based operation.
Within two years he had opened his first ChipsAway CarCare Centre, which is a fixed-base workshop, and taken on his first member of staff which meant he could process more vehicles and undertake larger scale repairs.
As a result, his rate of business growth accelerated, prompting him to invest in a second CarCare Centre and additional staff. Currently, his team is busier than ever, repairing an average of sixteen cars a day.
He said: “Last year was my best yet, and I’m on track to achieve an increase in turnover again this year. I earn a lot more than I ever could have done with the RAF, and my ChipsAway business just keeps going from strength to strength. As long as you are prepared to work hard and promote your business, you can achieve amazing results.”
