Have Your Cake And Eat It With A Kiddy Cook Franchise

Kiddy Cook is perfect for those seeking to address the challenges of balancing fulfilling, flexible work with family life. It can provide a good income, add real value to a local community and is TOTALLY DIFFERENT to other franchises currently for sale!

What’s it all about?

Kiddy Cook is an innovative franchise aimed at promoting cookery skills, healthy eating and food awareness amongst pre-school and primary school children. The business was established in 2005 by Mum of two, Nikki Geddes who now supports a growing network of UK based franchisees.

“The Right Time”

Since Jamie Oliver’s push to improve school dinners – getting children to eat a healthy, balanced diet continues to make the news.

There’s no better time to start a business that encourages kids into the kitchen. There is no other franchise that provides a cooking development programme for pre-schoolers.

Kiddy Cook ticks all the boxes:

  • It’s a new idea
  • It offers the potential for a good income
  • It’s totally flexible – you choose the hours that suit you
  • You don’t need any previous experience

Innovative Range of Brands

The business model includes an innovative range of branded services to include:

Baby Cook sessions are designed to stimulate the senses and encourage very young children (8 months+) to have a positive attitude towards food from very early on.

CookieTots weekly cooking activity classes are for children aged 2 – 4 years. The programme is underpinned by the Early Year Foundation Stage (E. Y. F. S.) and each session incorporates food with music and games to create a positive culinary learning experience with an emphasis on having FUN!

Kiddy Cook provides cooking classes and parties for children aged 4 -11 years. During each session the children have fun with hands-on experiments and recipes and they are encouraged to earn
about ‘good’ food and to explore new flavours in an educational and fun way.

Holiday & Weekend Workshops – delivered via our partners and franchisees to include pick and cook sessions at The National Trust (in the North West).

Food in Schools - Through our food in schools project we educate children about natural foods, local sustainable farming, and the cultural origins of our food.

What Our Franchisees Say...

Charlotte Carr, former Retail Manager with WH Smith
Franchisee since May 2009

“I became a Kiddy Cook franchisee in May 2009 and my business continues to grow. I can’t quite believe that after spending only £400 on advertising, I am making a profit, in a recession, after only 6 months. If I had more time to work, I would easily be able to fill it and I look forward to the future when my son is at school and I can spend more time growing my business. I have been amazed at how
powerful word of mouth has been and I know I have only just touched the surface of the opportunities
available to me.

The future is looking good and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I have so many lovely comments from
children and their parents. I love the fact that I am helping a generation of children to enjoy cooking
and make healthy food choices”.

Frances Webster, former project manager for an investment bank
Franchisee since April 2010

“Having been made redundant whilst I was pregnant, and after 8 months of loving motherhood, I was looking for something new. I didn’t want to go back into investment banking and I wanted a challenge which I would be able to fit around my family. I thought Kiddy Cook was a fantastic concept from the moment I found it on the internet – that was in February 2010. I signed the agreement at the beginning of April and started my classes in June. I now run 3 weekly Cookie Tot classes have done a
Kiddy Cook workshop and over the summer I am really busy doing classes for several Sure Start
centres and a local school. The feedback to the classes has been great and the numbers have grown
dramatically over the course of a few weeks.

I am still finding my feet but have lots of potential work coming up after the summer, some of which I
have looked for and some of which I have been approached to do. I am quickly filling my days (and
evenings) and am looking for some people to help run sessions for me to meet the demand. It’s been
a busy few months but I absolutely love it and would never have thought 6 months ago I would be
where I am now. Its great being my own boss and building my business how I want to."
