Steve Latham

steve concentric lettingsSteve Latham, Managing Director of his own Concentric Lettings Crosby Branch has had a great year. Starting from scratch, Steve attended his training in July 2010 and started trade from November that year. 



Steve has taken on the Business owner model and has now grown his branch to include 4 staff, to cope with the volume of lets and instructions he is generating.



Steve has chose a USP of working with LHA tenancies in his area and is quite an expert in this subject now, which has created a great niche for him in Liverpool and Crosby which is where his offices are based.



Since starting to trade, 1 year on Steve and his team have managed to clock up an impressive 115 lets, with the staff now working towards a target of 24 lets per month now, as well as working with helping to solve landlords LHA problems.



1 landlord came to Steve, not having received and money from the council for his LHA tenant for 6 months, Steve’s extensive knowledge of the LHA managed to get the claim moving and he secured £2500, back payment for the landlord, who thought the only resolve was to evict the tenant.



Looking forward, Steve has just employed a "Lister" to maintain his great level of property stock and is looking to move to bigger premises in the New Year.



MD Sally Lawson says; Steve has been great, he has taken on board all that he needed to do to make his Branch successful and he has achieved that and more, Steve has been that successful with his niche market that we asked him to come and teach the groups some of his LHA strategies this month and it went down a storm, there was so many great tips and hints, that were so useful to the whole group, everyone was making so many notes, it was brilliant. Dawn Bennet

Setting up a Letting agency, success is all down to hard work!

dawn concentric lettingsDawn Bennett took on her Concentric Lettings territory in September 2010. Since that time she has smashed all of her targets. Resulting in taking on 18 properties in the month of December, only her 3rd full month of trade, and setting up 13 let's in her 4th month this January.

In her first 3 months Dawn took on 53 properties under management and now has a staggering 63 just 4 months in.

When setting up a letting agency, the biggest challenge is finding landlords and getting properties under management, and this is something that Dawn has more than excelled at.

From a previous history of property and Lettings, some would say that Dawn has an advantage, but she has faced all the same challenges that any new letting agent experiences.

The phone does not just ring, you have to take action to get new business.

When asked how Dawn has achieved such staggering achievements in such a short space of time, she puts the success down to pure hard work and a focus on customer service. "I go the full mile with every landlord, and I have had to solve many of their problems or issues along the way, I had the landlord that had a property empty for 3 months, and I spent a lot of time advising him on improvements to get the property let, resulting in a let within a week when the work was done. I also have been involved in an eviction for a landlord where he was out of the country, and managing portfolios, dotted around the country, to allow landlords to have all their properties managed in one central point.

All in all I believe the results speak for themselves. I have had to search for landlords just like anyone else, but when I get one I give them all and then get rewarded with referrals of other properties and landlords in return.

That's how I managed to achieve 18 instructions in the month of December. In letting agencies I have worked before, 18 properties taken on in the peak summer months is quite an achievement, never mind at this early stage, and in December! so I am really pleased.

January was back on in full force again as I have managed to let 13 properties this month, my target was only 10."

lisa concentric lettingsTony & Lisa Franchise business owners of Concentric Lettings Branch in Coventry, have had a cracking 3 months.

Tony and Lisa decided to start up their Letting agency in 2010 and came on the training in July, then obviously following that set up and launch with just Lisa at the helm, they starting trade shortly after and they have worked hard to get their branch up and running and to attract as many managed landlords as possible, as would any new Letting Agency.

It’s really encouraging that already 50% of their new landlord instructions come from existing clients and referrals, which is a credit to their thoroughness and attention to exemplary customer service.

In September this year, just 1 year on, Tony joined the business and this has had a great effect with their lets doubling and their profit rising substantially.

For the last 3 months September, October and November, they have cranked up an impressive £7857 profit in just those 3 months.

This is great news says Lisa, and we are now working out our targets for next year, based on the last 3 months figures.
