We supply cleaning and hygiene products to almost any type of business in the UK and we have been doing this through our network of franchisees for over 20 years. This is a business to business franchise seeking suitably motivated individuals who are looking to build a multi-van franchise.

We are good at what we do and we do it well. Our recruitment process is designed to take you through a sequence of events that will ascertain whether or not this franchise is suitable for you. You will speak to franchisees in the field, spend time at our head office, and then invest a day of your time to accompany one of our franchisees doing the actual job before we progress further. We both need to be sure that this is the right choice for you.

What does a Chemex franchisee look like?
There is no such thing as a ‘standard’ Chemex franchisee. Each franchisee brings something different to the company and the clients they serve. However, there are a few traits which many of our successful franchisees have in common; you are likely to have an excellent track record in management and have built effective teams in the past. You may have sales experience as well, which is beneficial. That said, part of a good franchisor’s role is to identify your strengths and weaknesses and work with you on your personal development plan. Interestingly, our top franchisees include a former mining engineer, a hotelier, a farmer and a postman.
One thing you will need is the ability to develop excellent relationships with long-term, repeat order customers in some very demanding industries where your premium service is what differentiates you from the competition.
Training
Our training of new franchisees starts with a residential 10 day induction course in our training suite at our offices in Smethwick in the West Midlands. We normally have only 2 or 3 new franchisees on our training courses, as we want to ensure you get the best possible personal attention from our team of Franchise Support Managers.
When you leave the induction course, the period of on-the-job training starts. Chemex provides initial training, one-to-one, in the field. Your Franchise Support Manager will teach you product knowledge, including what to use where, account opening techniques, prospecting tips, planning strategy to help you get the best out of your day, how to plan your area, invoicing, cash collection …… in fact, all aspects of running your franchise.
What does it cost?
• In actual fact the cost of the franchise package is remarkably low at £23,500 plus VAT. We are not interested in making fast profits on franchise fees, rather we are committed to finding the right people for our organisation because we understand that investment in successful franchisees is key to the long term success of Chemex.
• You will need to be able to finance about £10,000 yourself with the balance available through finance from the high street banks. We can assist with arranging this if required. Additional working capital of up to £10,000 is recommended.
• Franchise Fee (from) £8,500 ( Includes exclusive, postcode defined area)
• Franchise Package £13,000 ( Includes laptop, printer, accounts package)
• Trading Stock £2,000 ( Comprehensive range of initial stock )
• Total Cost £23,500 + VAT
