With nearly 30 Academies across the UK, the Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts is one of UK’s leading performing arts organisations, headed up by one of the Country’s most well loved actresses.

The Pauline Quirke Academy is designed to provide children with a first class training in the performing arts. Modules include Musical Theatre and Comedy & Drama and students at the Academies also star in, and create their own film & television productions. Plus they get the chance to take part in frequent specialist Masterclasses, which include stage combat, clowning, junk percussion, street dance and even prosthetics and TV and stage make up.

Parents are able to monitor their child’s progress through PQA’s unique Creative Stages Awards scheme, which recognises student achievements and records their progress. Parents can also watch their children at performances throughout the year, which include a red carpet screening of student film premieres at local cinemas. In addition, every three years, Academies are selected to take part in the prestigious PQA West End season, hosted by Pauline at the home of ‘Phantom of the Opera’ - Her Majesty’s Theatre in Haymarket. PQA students are also eligible to join Quirky Kidz, a creative management agency exclusively representing students who wish to be considered for professional jobs in theatre, television and film.

One of the keys to PQA’s success is its policy of working with Principals who are dedicated, passionate and who really believe in the PQA ethos. To ensure that the right people aren’t excluded from the opportunity of running their own Academy, two tier franchise packages are available to ensure that we get the best Principals possible. The aim is to spread the PQA message across the country and to do that, the company needs to find people who are as passionate as they are about the Performing Arts. The company is looking to expand throughout the UK, so is happy to consider any location, which means you could have the dream business you always wanted but without the risk.

As a PQA Principal, you’re never on your own, PQA head office takes the responsibility for the administration including collecting fees, dealing with student administration, compliance and even supplying teaching modules, leaving our Principals to be creative and inspirational!
