As a Loughborough Graduate and qualified PE teacher, Jonathans’ knowledge in the area of youth related exercise goes back over 12 years and has been the cornerstone of the development of SHOKK®. Jonathan is also one of the nation’s leading experts on strength & conditioning in young people and its relevance both to human movement and athletic development/ elite sport. Jonathan’s passion, expertise and peer respect have meant he now sits on number of external panels most notably the NICE committee (NHS), responsible for producing the National Physical Activity Guidelines for Children. He is also an advisor to the BCSE (British Council for School Environments) and is now a key source of health and activity advice on the design of the 21st school for the building schools for the future program (BSF.) He speaks regularly on the international circuit focussing on childhood activity and health and how to market to this unique demographic.
