The British Franchise Exhibition

11 & 12 June 2010, Manchester Central

Women in franchising

Franchisors look for work experience, preferably in marketing or sales, in their potential franchisees. Most important, however, is a hardworking and self-motivated attitude, which women possess as much as men and which is transferable to running a business.

Franchising can also offer opportunities for women seeking flexible working hours in order to supplement a family income or juggle the responsibilities of home and children. Many franchises offer the flexibility to work from home or irregular hours, so that there is no need for the usual trade-off between family and business commitments - therefore providing the perfect work/life balance solution.
