The Global Travel Group Case studies
Franchise case studies Stephanie Robinson
Stephanie had been in travel since she was 16 years old but in 1997 she decided it was the right time to start her own business and reap the benefits for herself. She chose to join The Global Travel Group as it had the best package and reputation – that Summer she then set up offices at her local golf club.
Moorend Travel now specialises in upmarket tailor-made long haul holidays and is finding that Group’s ATOL offering is crucial in providing flexibility for her customers. “I wouldn’t be able to afford my own ATOL license but with the Group’s Scheme, I can offer a greater choice and accommodate my client’s needs.”
Stephanie believes that the main benefit of being a Group member is the support from head office. “The dedicated departments are always there to provide help and guidance. We have great deals and advice from Commercial; I am really impressed with the back office system and IT support that I receive and the Accounts service really does take the pressure off, allowing me to concentrate on selling holidays.”
With 70% of Moorend Travel’s business coming from repeat customers, Stephanie believes that this is down to her service and the relationships she has made with her customers. “I dedicate time and effort to ensure that my client’s holidays are exactly what they are looking for, it is this commitment that brings results. It is also vital to get rapport, this way you can make sure that people will come back to book their next holiday.”
